Have her drink alot of cranberry juice, cranberry juice is very good for women and it helps with yeast infections. Also make sure her clothes are not to tight, cause that can be a problem.

A doctor, of course, should be consulted & a doctor, of course, will confirm the problem by examining the discharge & a doctor, of course, will prescibe a medicine.
But, this is no joke; not all vaginal discharge &/or yeast infection like symptoms are caused by relatively harmless yeast. Anything from a forgotten tampon to life-threatening pelvic inflammatory disease can cause similar symptoms. Other causes include gardnerella, vaginalis, a bacterial infection; trichomonas, a parasitic infection; and chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. So don`t play doctor. Get a professional diagnosis.

In the meantime (while ur waiting for the Dr. app.) you can help reduce the itch with a OTC such as Benadryl or Cortaid or hydrocortisone cream. Just be sure you don`t use these creams b4 seeing the doctor because they may cover up an infection & prevent a proper diagnosis.

I`m sure ur daughter doesnt want to aggravate her already delicate situation, so Do Not use chemical potions such as; feminine deodorants, deodorant tampons / sanitary pads, after-bath powders, etc.. & Do not use baby oil, because it contains perfume.
I`m not even going to bring up that intercourse can further irratate the inflammation. Right!?!

Vinegar has almost the same acidity as the vagina, which is one reason a lukewarm vinegar & water mix (4teaspoons vinegar to 1 pint water) is sometimes suggested. But I wouldn`t suggest that for a 12yr.old girl. One alternative to douching is the sitz bath. Fill a shallow tub w/ warm water, then do one of the following.
      * Add salt, about 1/2 cup to match the body`s natural saline state.
      * Add vinegar ( 1/2 cup ) to help rebalance the vaginal pH.
Now, sit in the water, knees apart, until it gets cool. The bath will do the cleansing.

Other ways to help those troubled by yeast infections,(Remember a doctor will have to diagnosis that first)
is to; “Sleep like Eve” ; naked or panties off under ur nightgown. Wear loose clothes; avoid tight fitting clothes. Give your panties an extra scrub or soak in bleach & use unscented soap in HOT wash. Choose cotton panties or panties w/ cotton crotch. Use unscented & uncolored toilet paper. Wash w/ water ; soap, shampoos, balt salts & oils remove the natural oils that protect ur skin & may leave a irritating residue. Keep germs in their place; always wipe from front to back after a bowel movement. Use cotton tampons &/or pads. Keep ur blood sugar under control; people w/ diabetes may be more prone to yeast infections. Control yeasts & molds; avoid foods & beverages such as bread, doughnuts, beer, wine, vinegar, pickles, cheese, mushrooms, & fruit juices. Raise ur resistance; boost ur immunity by exercising regularly, eating properly, getting plenty of sleep, not smoking or using drugs & using caffeine sparingly.

There are also some herbal remedies & you should consult appropriate medical professionals about these alternative medicines.
As you should consult medical professionals regarding all heath issues.
      I hope the info helps.
      Good Luck!
